Indoor air quality A + for MIG-ESP® Interior Anti-Microbial
Modern humans are
basically an indoor species as most of us spend a lot of time indoors. This
becomes even clearer in view of the current pandemic.
However, every day we
are exposed to a wide variety of indoor air pollutants, the most common of which
are volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs come in many forms, such as
formaldehyde, acetone, xylene, toluene, and benzene. They are released as gases
from a number of everyday items such as paint, varnish, solvents, adhesives and
sealants. The accumulation of VOCs indoors is linked to "sick building
syndrome" as increased VOC emissions contaminate our air and have a
negative impact on human comfort and even health. Therefore, we cannot
emphasize enough the importance of maintaining a healthy indoor environment.
There are many ways to
reduce VOC sources in our home. However, it is most effective to paint with
products that contain little or no VOC.
Unlike most paints,
which emit toxic chemicals into the air, MIG-ESP ® Interior Anti-Microbial is
an active coating system specially designed to protect wall surfaces and human
health. Thanks to its natural, toxin-free formula, the coating has a virtually non-existent
concentration of VOC. This was confirmed by the VOC emission test carried out
by the renowned Eurofins laboratory in accordance with the French VOC
regulation . This regulation is a mandatory labeling system that regulates VOC
emissions from construction and furnishing products sold mainly in France but
also across Europe.
Reducing the VOC
concentration indoors is an important environmental goal that MIG takes very
seriously. We are therefore pleased to receive the highest rating of A +. This also
underlines that MIG-ESP ® Interior Anti-Microbial stands out from its
competitors in the fight against indoor air pollution.
